Meal plan

7 plans · 7 days · breakfast, lunch and dinner

A full week of meals picked from our own recipes: breakfast, lunch, and a dinner of one main dish and a side, every day. Pick a plan, swap any meal you don’t fancy, choose how many you cook for, then send the whole week to your shopping list.

How the plans are built

Every plan uses only free recipes (the classic flavour of a dish) that have a photo.

  • Breakfast: the site’s Breakfast dish type, 200 to 750 kcal a serving, one hour or less (39 recipes).
  • Lunch: the site has no lunch tag, so lunch takes the lighter main dish types first (salads and bowls, soups and stews, burgers and sandwiches, and the main dishes of the site’s Lunch meal sets: 250 to 800 kcal and at least 10 g protein a serving, one hour or less; 50 recipes), then any other dinner main of one hour or less when a plan has too few.
  • Dinner main: chicken, fish, meat, vegetarian, pasta, rice and grain, soup and stew, salad and bowl, and burger and sandwich recipes of 300 to 900 kcal and at least 12 g protein a serving, two hours or less (266 recipes). Lunch and dinner never use the same recipe in one week.
  • Dinner side: vegetable, salad and potato side dishes of 60 to 450 kcal, 75 minutes or less (75 recipes).

Each plan applies one rule to every meal, ranks the recipes that pass it, and fills the week with a different kind of dish each day where it can. A plan is offered only when at least 14 dinner mains and 7 sides pass. Lunch is filled only when at least 7 lunches pass; breakfast only when at least 3 pass, and with fewer than 7 the breakfasts repeat during the week (the plan says so). Otherwise that meal is left empty and the page says why, instead of using recipes that break the plan’s rule.

Calories, protein and saturated fat are per serving, from each recipe’s own nutrition (calculated from its ingredients). Times are prep plus cook as written. Snacks and drinks are not part of the plan. Not offered: vegan week (only 12 dinner mains and 27 sides pass its rule; 14 mains and 7 sides needed), low-carb, budget and family-friendly weeks (the site has no tag or price data for them), and low-salt (only 0 free dinner mains meet the EU low-salt rule).

Every recipe in the plan is free (the classic flavour of a dish). Nutrition values are estimates per serving, not medical advice.
