Always check the labels of the products you use.
Method
- 1
Infuse. Put 960 ml whole milk in a medium saucepan with 1 vanilla pod (split and seeds scraped). Warm over medium heat until it steams, without boiling.
- 2
Whisk. Whisk in 85 g malted milk powder and 50 g light brown sugar until dissolved, then remove the pod.
- 3
Blend. Carefully blend about 240 ml of the hot milk in the blender (lid vented, covered with a cloth) until very frothy.
- 4
Serve. Pour the plain malted milk into 4 mugs, spoon the foam on top and dust with ½ tsp ground cinnamon.

Cat tip
Warm the milk only until it steams, without boiling, so it doesn't catch on the base of the pan and froths up well in the blender.
Storage
Serve immediately whilst hot. Cool leftovers in a shallow container and refrigerate within 2 hours (within 1 hour on a day above 32°C).
